Ricky Maynard is an Australian photographer, he is from the town of Launceston in Tasmania’s north. He is also an indigenous man who grew up under a terrible time in Australia history.
He is known for capturing the scars of the past through photography. His work his garnered attention from many museums across Australia because his art hints at the deeper many of the suffering that the indigenous people went through. (Munro, K n.d., Ricky Maynard, Sydney)
